Mission Statement
Sisterhood of Congregation Ahavas Chesed has always played a vital role in the life of our Synagogue. It is through our organization that the ceremonies and tradition of Shabbat and the Festivals are taught and passed on from generation to generation. When a job in the Synagogue has to be done, it is the Sisterhood who lends its support, financial and emotional, so that whatever the task, it is done.
Among our objectives are:
- To promote the welfare of the congregation and act as its official hostess.
- To foster and encourage the observance of religious life in the home.
- To encourage interest in religious services and religious schools.
- To cooperate with all other auxiliaries of the congregation.
- To participate in civic and community activities.
